America, China, Russia and now India!

India's space ambitions are poised for a giant leap on January 10 when the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) takes off from Sriharikota with an experimental space capsule to evaluate the reusable launch vehicle technology.

The 44.4-metre tall PSLV will carry four satellites, two Indian, two foreign. The Indian satellites are Cartosat-2, to be used for mapping purposes, and the Space Capsule Recovery Experiment (SCRE). The other two satellites are Indonesia's Lupan and Argentina's Pehuensat.

According to space experts, the launch assumes significance because of SCRE which will launch India into the world of re-entry technology. Data from the experiment will allow ISRO design a reusable launch vehicle that will take off like a rocket, deploy a satellite and land back like an aircraft.

Aap ka Surror - The Movie

Ive seen most of the interviews of Himesh Reshammiya on television, but on the question of acting in a movie he was always said no....But this decision seems imbalanced, as Himesh is starring in the movie titled "Aap ka suroor". Earlier his music videos rock the nation now lets see what the film can do...Take a look at the opening lines of the movie:

You witnessed the agony of tragic love stories…
You witnessed the ecstasy of immortal love stories…
It's time you witnessed mine!

I was impressed, the way Himesh brought on the films, Prashant Chaddha captures the scenes brilliantly as far as promos concern, Infact it looks quite better than some low budget heroes working in the industry, I hope you'll understand...
I'm excited to hear a new 9 new tracks of the movie..So i'm start searching music cds in the parlours. But its not availlable yet.
Watch the promo of the movie:

's official: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Rang De Basanti is India's entry to the Oscars next year.

Besides Mehra's Rang De, the Hindi contenders were Rakesh Roshan's Krrish, Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Naseeruddin Shah's Yun Hota To Kya Hota, Rajkumar Hirani's Lage Raho Munnabhai, Vishal Bhardwaj's Omkara, and Madhur Bhandarkar's Corporate. Of these, media speculation began treating the choice as a two-horse race: Rang De versus Munna Bhai, with Omkara as a probable dark horse.

The FFI assembles a 12-member-panel to watch the films and make a decision. The panel this year included veteran director Basu Chatterji, Kalpana Lajmi, N Chandra, music director Aadesh Srivastava, writer Ved Rahi and A S Ramarao, among others.

So, Aamir Khan heads to the Oscars yet again. Even as Mehra may be uncorking a triumphant bottle of bubbly, articles against and for the decision are already being typed up.

DURGA POOJA: 8th Day (Ashtami)

The worship of Durga in the autumn is the year's largest Hindu festival in West Bengal, Orissa, Tripura, Assam and other parts of East India as well as in Bangladesh. Durga Puja is also celebrated in Nepal and Bhutan according to local traditions and variations. Puja means "worship," and Durga's Puja is celebrated from the sixth to tenth day of the waxing moon in the month of Ashshin, which is the sixth month in the Bengali calendar. Occasionally however, due to shifts in the lunar cycle relative to the solar months, it may also be held in the following month, Kartik. In the Gregorian calendar, these dates correspond to the months of September/October.

In the Krittibas Ramayana, Rama invokes the goddess Durga in his battle against Ravana. Although she was traditionally worshipped in the spring, due to contingencies of battle, Rama had to invoke her in the autumn (akaal bodhan). Today it is this Rama's date for the puja that has gained ascendancy, although the spring puja, known as Basanti Puja, is also present in the Hindu almanac. Since the season of the puja is Shôrot (autumn), it is also known as Sharodia.

The pujas are held over a five-day period, which is traditionally viewed as the coming of the married daughter, Durga, to her father, Himalaya's home. It is the most important festival in Bengal, and Bengalis celebrate with new clothes and other gifts, which are worn on the evenings when the family goes out to see the pandals (temporary structures set up to venerate the goddess). Although it is a Hindu festival, religion takes a backseat on these five days: Durga Puja in Bengal is a carnival, where people from all backgrounds, regardless of their religious beliefs, participate and enjoy themselves to the hilt.

A film directed by the young & extremely talented director Farhan Akhtar( *Son of well known writer Javed Akhtar) and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani DON is ready to excite you with thrill and action. Its a remake of the old Don acted by Mr.Bachhan the old king of the Bollywood But this time its turn for the 'KING' of tHE bollywood SHARUKH KHAN.

I have seen some promos of the film and it looks good, Shahrukh as usual creat a kind of hype to the film. Black dressup is becoming a must wear for the big mens. But looks cool! About the music - Its ok coz its difficult to give good melodius music to such films, otherwise its doesn't match with the look of the film. Thus backround music din dang ding ding dang ding dang (*Mission impossible tunes are very usefull for composing tunes for such titles isn'it) is really apt, Music would certainly lift the hype of the film i think.

I hope this multistarer film will be up to the mark.
